Here it is at long last! The Spanish Flu Pandemic was a significant factor in the ending of the war, and it killed many more people than the war did, so its significance cannot be underestimated. From the point of view of The Collection, it is a shame that the war plays so small a part in Spinney's story, so we still await a study of how the Pandemic did affect the war. Nevertheless, in an almost barren field - certainly of late - this is a welcome book.
