This is a new study of the Russian Revolution by McMeekin, who is said to have delivered new, ground-breaking, research in the book. McMeekin is known to consider that Russia, perhaps more than any other of the protagonists, was responsible for the outbreak of the war, although this may have been a view from someone who appears to have adopted a Turkophile attitude in certain circumstances.
