A Deadly Legacy. German Jews and The Great War
This was the first, or at least one of the first, books in The Collection to explore fully the lives of German Jews - or indeed any Jews - in the case of the Germans, both at home and at the front during the war. The author illuminates not only the efforts of the 100,000 Jewish soldiers who served in the German military, but also the Jewish communities at large, who raised funds, helped refugees, and secured vital food supplies.
