The author was an Artillery officer in 82nd Brigade, RFA. The book is his own account, in the first person, of the war in 1918, with the story of the retreat before the German Kaiserschlacht offensives, and then the "return push" starting with Amiens and culminating in the Armistice.
Written by someone who was there, this is a valuable contribution to our understanding of the war in 1918.
