This book was published in association with the Imperial War Museum.
This is one of the two Official Histories of Occupation, the other one being of the Rhineland. That book was only published in 1944, when victory in the Second War was pretty well assured. Publication had been delayed because of Foreign Office concerns that the occupations might not have had full legal justifications.
But the volume on Constantinople was not published at the same time, although both books were written by Edmonds contemporaneously.
So until it was issued in 2010, the text was stored in the Public Record Office.
