The Russian Turmoil. Memoirs: Military, Social, and Political
This book was the personal property of Admiral Sir John de Robeck (1862-1928) who was Commander of the Eastern Mediterranean Fleet during the Gallipoli campaign, and of the Mediterranean Fleet after the end of the war. The book is a First Edition and has been signed by de Robeck.
Denikin's story begins during the pre-revolutionary part of the war, albeit quite briefly. The it describes the rise to power of the Kerensky Administration and the growth of the revolutionary atmosphere, and how it affected the Army.
The story does not go beyond the middle of 1918, so it does not touch at all on Denikin's period as a White Russian commander.
Thus this book is about the Russian Army during the actual war.
