Manual of Military Law

This book sets out the military law which applied to British Forces as at the outbreak of the war. This is the Sixth Edition of the book, which was originally published in 1884. This Sixth Edition is dated February 1914. The book is just over 900 pages long: it is a potentially useful book, for example it could be very useful for anyone researching desertions and supposed cowardice trials. The book was edited by The Hon. Hugh Godley, who we have included in our "authors" section, but we have deliberately left the author blank, given the nature of the book.
