This book is a compendium of statistics and information relating to the 1916 Easter Rising in Dublin.
The information in the book was first recorded by The Irish Times, which prided itself at the time as being the newspaper of record. The paper published a "handbook" with information later in 1916 and then an augmented edition in 1917. In 1966 a commemorative supplement was issued, and this led to it being presented in the form of a book. This present edition is the culmination of that process.
For anyone wishing to research the 1916 Easter Rising in any way, the book has to be, at the very least, a very important starting point.
