Britain's Jews in the First World War

This book tells the story of the Jewish Community in Britain, of its individuals and its groups, who contributed to the war effort. It describes the experiences of some of those who served, and the impact of the war on the Community and its members; it also explores some of the uniquely Jewish experiences and questions that the war raised. The Jewish Community of Britain provided over 40,000 men for the forces, and more for work on the Home Front. It played a significant role in the war effort.
