This book was translated by John Linton. It is an early German biography of Ataturk, based on the Author's extensive interviews. It describes the drawn out disintegration of the Ottoman Empire and its eventual reincarnation as a secular republic. It is good on the confused fighting that continued between Turkey and its neighbours after the formal end of the war on the Western Front.
