Indian Army and the First World War, 1914-18
This is a comprehensive history of the Indian Army in the First World War, written by an Indian academic.
The book covers the theatres of France, Gallipoli, Salonika, East Africa, Egypt and Palestine, and Mesopotamia - a theatre which warrants about 100 pages of its own story.
The book is, in our opinion, extremely well written, and also highly readable. We consider it one of the best Indian Army histories of any sort that we have seen.
