Esme Howard. A Diplomatic Biography
This is a biography of Esme Howard, 1st Baron Howard of Penrith, who was a British diplomat.
He served as British Ambassador to the United States between 1924 and 1930.
Howard spent the war as British Minister in Stockholm, which was a difficult posting with Sweden leaning in a pro-German neutrality.
In 1919 he was attached to the British Delegation at the Paris Peace Conference, where he drafted sections of the treaty relating to Poland.
