The Irish Civil War was an almost inevitable consequence of the ending of the Great War. This book, by a noted Irish historian, traces the various threads which together led to the Irish Civil War, and then describes what happened during it. In many ways this was a very strange civil war, the combatants being, as they were, two disparate factions which together won the preceding War of Independence.
