R. James Steel (Canadian)

Steel was the grandson of Lieut. Robt. J. Steel of the 46th Canadian Infantry Battalion. Steel the author served with the Royal Canadian Navy and perhaps as a result of that, when he was presented with his grandfather's medals, his interest in a serious study of the 46th Canadian Infantry Battalion started.
