This book was probably the first to study this historic battle in minute detail. Using eyewitness accounts from dozens of survivors, plus many other accounts, both published and unpublished, by the participants, the authors take us into the trenches, the tanks, and the cockpits.
The book was published by a Canadian publishing house and it does, quite naturally, give full credence to the Canadians' part in this game changing battle.
There is a handwritten message on the title page as follows:
