Glyn Harper (New Zealander)
Harper lived in Palmerston North and was Professor of War Studies at Massey University, where he headed the Centre for Defence Studies and was the Project Manager for the First World War Centenary History Programme. He originally joined the Australian Army, then transferred to the New Zealand Army and took the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel. He was the author of several best selling books on military history.
