Donald Boyd

Boyd was born in 1895 and was training as a journalist with the Leeds Mercury when the War broke out. He served on the Western Front as an Artillery officer from 1915 to 1918 and was awarded the MC for recovering two guns during the March 1918 Retreat. After the War he resumed his journalistic career.
