Professor Sven Hedin
Hedin was a Swedish professor, writer, illustrator, adventurer and noted germanophile. On the outbreak of the war he requested and was granted full access, unrestricted in any way, to visit the German armies fighting in France and Belgium. As a trusted academic and neutral, he was able to spend a remarkable amount of time with the German leadership.
