Charles Stephenson

Stephenson was a naval and military historian, the author of several books on military matters. He wrote a number of books on naval and siege warfare and the history of fortifications. He was also Consultant Editor and a contributor to "Castles: A History of Fortified Structures: Ancient, Medieval & Modern".
