This is a new book on an almost forgotten episode in the war. Nonetheless, the conflict is called a "world war" for a reason, and it spread to many corners of the globe, including China, where action took place at the beginning of the war.
To call this the German-Japanese War is perhaps going a little bit too far, but it did happen, and it also lays some pointers down to trace the Japanese military journey from then until Pearl Harbor.
