Jim Crossley
Crossley was a retired engineer and a keen amateur sailor. He had a History degree from Cambridge. He wrote "Bismarck - The Epic Chase" and a work on early British destroyers, as well as a novel about the sea, before he wrote the books on mines, and monitors, in The Collection.
