Lieutenant-Colonel P.G. Elgood CMG

Elgood had apparently lived in Egypt "over a generation of years", as he says in the Preface to his book "Egypt and The Army". He worked in three of the Egyptian Ministries, that is War, Interior, and Finance. He served with the Colours for five years. While in the Army, he was a substantive Major. According to our research, he was in "The Reserve of Officers", whatever that means. His Regiment is unknown. What we do know about him is that after he had written the book on Egypt that we have in The Collection, he wrote a Treatise about Napoleon in Egypt in 1931.
