Major F.M. Crum

Crum was born in Scotland in 1879. He wrote books about his experiences in the Army in South Africa which he published under the pen-name of "Rifleman". He also wrote a book about Scouting after the war, with Robert Baden-Powell. He was with the 8th Battalion of the King's Royal Rifle Corps during the war, when he specialized in the art of trench sniping.
