Sir Philip Gibbs

Sir Philip Armand Hamilton Gibbs (1877 - 1962) was an English journalist and political author of books who served as one of the five Official British Reporters during the Great War. Gibbs' work in the immediate post-war era focussed on the fear of societal unrest created by "brutalised "ape-men" and wartime employed women who were clinging to their jobs and would not let go of the pocket money which they had spent on frocks" (His words, not ours!!).
