James Goldrick
Goldrick started as a lieutenant in the Royal Australian Navy. He was a 1978 graduate of the Royal Australian Naval College, and also held a B.A. degree from the University of South Wales.
He had served as naval aide-de-camp to the Governor-General of Australia.
He was active in the Australian Naval Institute and was an elected member of the Navy Records Society. The "King's Ships" (q.v.) was his first book.
"After Jutland" (again q.v.) was written after he had retired from the R.A.N., with the rank of Rear-Admiral. During his service he had led the Australian Defence Force Academy, Australia's Border Command, and the Australian Defence College.
