Guy Pedroncini

Pedroncini was an academic and military historian who specialised in the First World War. He had taught at Universities of the Sorbonne, Pantheon-Sorbonne in Paris, and Le Mans University. He wrote many books about the war, and especially the French Army mutinies of 1917. He was best known for writing no less than four biographies of Phillippe Petain.
