Colonel Klaus Wolf
Wolf was a colonel in the Bundeswehr, whose military career took him to Turkey on three NATO assignments.
In the first of these, from 2002 to 2006, he was able to research the military co-operation between Turkey and Germany prior to the First World War in depth, and then, in particular, during the Gallipoli campaign of 1915.
The book was originally published in German in 2008 and in Turkish in 2014. The English version, which of course is the one we have, is a completely revised edition.
