Dr Edmund Yorke
Yorke held B.A. and M.A. degrees from Reading and London respectively, and a doctorate from Cambridge.
He was a part time tutor at Pembroke College, Cambridge and University College Oxford, and a Visiting Tutor at the Royal College of Defence Studies in London.
He was widely published in the field of British Imperial History and also Commonwealth Political and Military history.
He was latterly a Senior Lecturer in the Department of War Studies at Sandhurst, and was a member of the British Commission for Military History.
