George R. Clarke

Clarke was a former Marine who served briefly in the Pacific in World War Two. He later worked in the banking industry prior to serving as the DIrector of Research Administration at Brown University, and subsequently at the University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester, Mass. Upon retirement, he began writing military history with an emphasis on the U.S. Marine Corps. He lived in New Hampshire.
