Part of the Wolverhampton Military Studies Series, edited by Professor Stephen Badsey of the University of Wolverhampton.
This is not a book about any of the battles in which Canadian Forces took part. It is a study of the influence of discipline, morale and the officer/other ranks relationship within the Canadian Corps, upon the combatant officers and men. It is not, therefore, in any sense a history of the Canadian Corps. But it will help students to understand how the Corps operated - very much as a standalone entity but in brotherhood with the Imperial and other Dominion Armies - and why Canadian troops have long been regarded as amongst the elite troops of the war on the Allied side.
