This is the second volume of Buttar's planned four volume study of the Eastern Front. When completed, it will represent one of the primary sources on this rather neglected aspect of the war; rather sad, really, because in almost all respects, the Eastern Front was altogether more varied and interesting than the Western Front as a military conflict.
The book deals with, inter alia, The Gorlice-Tarnow German Offensive, the Winter War in the Carpathians, the struggle for Przemysl, as well as the Serbian Front.
