This book, written by an author with impeccable credentials, is about cavalry engagements on the Eastern Front. Given the identity of the author, its concentration on Russian Cavalry and the Eastern Front is unsurprising. The book is, actually, a "good read" but it is also useful in contributing to our knowledge of a specific arm of the combatants, and of the Eastern Front.
