The History of The War in The Air

This is a very comprehensive study. It was first published by Oxford Clarendon Press in 1922 as "The War in The Air, Being The Story of The Part Played In The Great War by The Royal Air Force". This is not really an "Official History", in the proper sense of that expression, but nevertheless we have placed the book in that category. Nevertheless, it does contain a great deal of information about the development of the Air Arm before and during the war.
