These two volumes are large books - Volume 1 is nearly 600 pages long, and Volume 2 is over 400 pages long. They are slightly oversize and they are printed in quite close print, as are most books from Helion. Again, like everything that Helion produces, they are beautiful books (bibliophiles will know what we mean). But for all that, they are at the heart of it, a wonderful regimental history of the Scots Guards. The books are written in the style of a normal battalion history, with the difference that reminiscences of the troops involved are often incorporated in the text. A magnificent pair of books.
