Valour in The Trenches! "Bombo" Pollard VC MC* DCM HAC in The Great War

This is foremost a biography of a remarkable Great War soldier, but it is also useful in that Pollard was a member of the HAC, a famous territorial unit whose officers were all from the ranks - the unit was comprised of middle class volunteers. Because of these twists on the normal biography, or even regimental history, (which to a certain extent this book is), this is a very interesting as well as useful addition to The Collection.
