Decisive Victory. The Battle of The Sambre 4 November 1918

The Battle of The Sambre was a decisive victory for the British, but has largely been neglected by historians. This is somewhat strange, because it was the last large scale set piece battle fought on the Western Front by the BEF, just one week away from the Armistice. The book is therefore a very valuable addition to The Collection, and as usual for a Helion book, it is beautifully produced with very good colour maps which contribute well to the reader's understanding of the battle.
