This book covers the birth and then growth of aerial reconnaissance, That said, the early days are dealt with in just a few pages, and the rest of the book is, basically, split between the two wars, with a short space devoted to the period between the wars. So the subject, and how it was developed in the Great War, is dealt with in some detail. In fact the parts of the book on periods outside the First World War could possibly be of use to researchers and readers.
