This book has a Foreword by The Rt Hon Sir Rennell Rodd, GCB, GCMO, GCVO, MP. This is an early (14 years after the war's end) account of the whole Italian Campaign, written by a noted Italian historian. Because of these factors, a significant amount of weight should be given to the book; we regard it as a worthy addition to the Collection.
