This is an academic study of the relationship between the Royal Navy and the United States Navy, tracing that relationship between January 1917 to the Armistice.
The author remains true to his title throughout, there is no straying into descriptions about what was going on at "the sharp end", but that, of course, does have an over-riding influence on the actual relationship and how that was implemented - and the opposite is just as true.
This is a well written book which is a valuable addition to the Collection.
